Dorothy J. (Dot) Norvell
Dot left us peacefully on June 2nd with family and dear friends by her side.
She was born on Valentine’s Day 1933 in Lawton OK. She raised her two sons in Memphis TN before moving to Basalt in 1988 to be closer to her grandchildren.
While settling in the Roaring Fork Valley Dot worked at ‘Elli of Aspen’ and ‘Gorsuch’ until 2011. She loved her job and the friends she made over the years while working and cherished the memories they gave her.
Dot will be missed most by her family. Chris and Debbie Norvell from Carbondale. Her grandchildren, her pride and joy, Adam and Alexandra, and her son Curtis J. Norvell from Atlanta GA. The family intends to have a private service at a later date.

Dot had a huge heart and affection for animals. She adored her dogs, and any that came her way. The Norvell family requests in lieu of flowers your thoughtful gifts be made to the Aspen Animal Shelter. Please send your donations to Friends of the Aspen Animal Shelter P.O. Box 985 Aspen, CO 81612.
