Obituary for Jeffrey Ludemann-Davis

Jeffrey Ludemann-Davis
Jeff Ludemann-Davis, son of Mary Ludemann and Scott Davis died March 4, 2016 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. He had struggled with alcoholism for many years as an adult. It was this addiction that took his life. His journey to find his ultimate peace was found with his parents and “second Mom”, Carol Copeland at his side.
Jeff was born February 9, 1982 in Sheridan, Wyoming with his twin sister Sara. His family moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1986 where Jeff received his schooling and went on to become an air conditioning/heating technician.
He moved to Carbondale, Colorado in 2013 to begin a new life. Jeff enjoyed the outdoor recreation opportunities of the area and this helped him achieve sobriety. It was also here where he met many friends including Shellie Korth and her boys; Ashton and Clay.
During his time in Carbondale and his period of sobriety he helped other addicts battle their addictions. He was well known for his humor and his ability to come up with a nickname for everyone.
He is survived by his parents of Sheridan, Wyoming, his twin sister Sara Leventon (Doug) and nephew, Spencer, of San Jose, California; older brother Chris Ludemann-Davis, Miami, Florida. Also “second parents” Rick (“Richter Scale”) and Carol (“Double C”) Copeland of Omaha, Nebraska, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Donations may be made to the “Youth Recovery Center”, a program to help youth with substance abuse located at Valley View Hospital, 1906 Blake Avenue, Glenwood Springs, Colorado 81601; or “A Way Out” an addiction intervention program at P.O Box 10825, Aspen, Colorado 81612.
Cremation has taken place with memorial services to follow in June in Carbondale, Colorado.
